At Flex EV Mobility Services Private Limited, we strive to provide a transparent and fair refund process. This Refund Policy outlines the terms under which Riders may be eligible for a refund of booking charges or security deposits related to electric scooter rentals.

 

1. Booking Charges

1.1 Non-Refundable Portion

A portion of the booking amount, communicated at the time of onboarding, is non-refundable and retained by the company as a booking fee.

1.2 Refundable Portion

A ₹1,000 refundable amount from the booking fee is eligible for refund only under the following conditions:

  • The Rider completes the minimum rental term of three (3) months.

  • The vehicle is returned in acceptable condition, subject to inspection.
     

1.3 Forfeiture Conditions

The entire booking amount (including the refundable portion) will be forfeited if:

  • The Rider returns the vehicle before completing the 3-month minimum rental term.

  • There is a breach of agreement terms, including misuse, illegal activity, or late payments.
     

 

2. Security Deposit

2.1 Deposit Amounts

The refundable security deposit is based on the vehicle provider:

  • BatterySmart/Submobility: ₹3,500

  • Ola: ₹4,500
     

2.2 Conditions for Refund

The security deposit will be refunded in full upon vehicle return if:

  • The vehicle is returned in good working condition.

  • There is no physical damage, missing parts, or tampering.

  • No violations of the rental agreement have occurred.
     

2.3 Deductions from Security Deposit

Deductions will be made from the security deposit if:

  • The vehicle has dents, damages, or broken parts (e.g., mirrors, lights, battery, wiring).

  • There is evidence of misuse, negligence, or off-road driving.

  • Any penalties, fines, or late payment fees remain unpaid at the time of return.
     

 

3. Refund Processing

  • All eligible refunds will be processed within 10–15 business days from the date of vehicle return and successful inspection.

  • Refunds will be made to the original payment method unless otherwise specified by the Rider.
     

 

4. No Refund Scenarios

No refund will be processed if:

  • The vehicle is not returned.

  • The Rider is involved in unauthorized or illegal activity.

  • The battery, scooter, or key is lost or stolen, and not covered by insurance.

  • The Rider fails to report damage, theft, or incidents as required by the agreement.
     

5. Force Majeure

Refunds may be delayed or withheld in cases of events beyond our control, such as natural disasters, pandemics, government restrictions, or civil unrest.
